Welcome!

Thanks for coming here to see me. I wanted to tell you just a few things about me, my company and what we do.

My name is Laura Catlin, I’m an Interior Designer and the Creative Director of Laura Catlin Interiors, The WW journal and The Studio Shop.  I also run a very dynamic house hold full of boys…..

I have been based in Cape Town South Africa, London and Cheshire UK as an Interior Designer for the last 15 years, after a decade of fashion modelling.

I’ve been lucky enough to have been part of a huge variety of projects from super high end turn key projects in Abu Dhabi to collaborative private beach houses in the Caribbean, grade 2 listed cottage renovations in the UK and boutique commercial projects. I’ve helped strategised order for clients in preparation for big family moves and love working on kitchen spaces as they are the heart of a home.

Along side running the design practise I have also studied, Feng Shui and a variety of other complimentary person and energy focused therapies that I utilise throughout my work to support all aspects of my clients lives.

Almost all of my clients are referrals or repeat clients which I believe is a good indication of success.

I had intended to start writing along side my work on so many occasions, but life just gets busier and busier and I’ve found it very hard to fit anything else in at all. Having 3 young boys, running multiple projects and trying to keep some level of order around me was all consuming.

It was only after my third baby did I realised the enormous benefits gained from writing things down…… not just that it helps you remember what you wanted to try and remember 3 seconds earlier, (baby brain is real) but it felt very therapeutic. So The WW blog (Wind and Water which is a translation of Feng Shui) happened as a way to take the pressure off and to connect to just a few things whenever time gave me, about the all things design, the items I’d source, the projects we’d be working on or the life happening around me.

I found it a great way to look in more detail at some of the unique elements to our homes, the pieces sourced to help create them and also to put some much needed focus on the fantastic intentional craftsmen and women that with their skill and artistry, make such a difference to the world around us all.

So stay a while.
